Reverend Crystal was ordained in 1989 as part of the centenniel celebration class. She has served wonderful congregations in Georgia, Puerto Rico and Michigan. She worked for five years as a prayer line worker and then as a glorious switchboard operator(!) at Silent Unity, and two years in various capacities for the Association of Unity Churches. While in Georgia, she started the Prayer and Action Ministry which created prayers to treat the inner beliefs which are reflected in our actions. Prayer trees have been planted all over the southeast to commemorate this ministry. 

Raised in Dearborn, Michigan, Reverend Crystal is living in the area she has always declared was the most beautiful area on the planet. She lives with her two dogs, Mugsy and Clarissa.

Debra just started her sixth year here at Unity of Traverse City. She keeps us running smoothly and efficiently, always offering a friendly voice on the phone whenever you call our office.

 

A Michigan native, Angela Christie grew up on Unity’s teachings in Tustin, MI and attended Pine River High School.  She enrolled at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI and graduated with honors by earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.   While stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas with her husband, Angela worked at the Dorothy Bramlage Public Library in Junction City, KS as a Youth Outreach Coordinator and Young Person’s Assistant before the arrival of the couple’s much anticipated firstborn child.

Angela currently lives in Traverse City with her husband, Duane, their son, Neil Joseph and Holligold, a curious kitty.  

Carol Purcell has come to join our staff with the help of drummer Roland Woodring. Both combine talents and love of music to inspire and uplift.

Carol and Roland are in a band called Jazz North. They can be heard at local clubs. Carol also teaches piano and voice.
